Update on 22.11.2008: As with the Horse Eye, I have started editing from scratch and redid this one. I increased quality, saturation and light.
_________
A bald eagle flying over the beautiful scenery of Styria in Austria. I'm always asked how I could take photos of such a georgeous animal like this one. It was at a show, were they were flying. Still hard enough
_________ Some technical information Camera: Canon EOS 300D Lense: Sigma 88-200mm Fogal Length: 200mm Shuttertime: 1/1600sec ISO-Speed: 400 Date of the photo: 7.7.2005 11:44 Am
_________ My internal ranking - I would consider this pic as my 2nd best. You can see everything completely clearly, from the eye to the wing!
Wow, the clarity is amazing! It has such an awesome expression on its face, too
I really have no idea what you could have changed... maybe you blurred the background a bit more? I don't know...

The more massive an object is, the more gravity it contains, which explains why it is harder to get ketchup out of the bigger glass ketchup bottles. More importantly it is also why a big screen tv collects more dust than a hoover.
i agree with you, one of your best captures! and a great capture it is.
ive never tried to photography birds yet but im guessing its hard since theyre flying and all.
right.. it's not just, that they are flying, they are flying very fast
So, just when your camera focused the bird, it's another 20m away and the clarity is gone! It takes a lot of luck, but I can be quite proud about this campture.

Thanks for all the other great comments, too!
This wouldn't make any sense, I think!
Maybe you will find it, if you look at the top of the wings. If you don't thats one big complement for my Photoshop-Skills
